This concept was created as my submission for the Bayamón Transit Art Program, a public art initiative inviting artists to reimagine buses and trains as moving works of art. Selections have not yet been announced.

The design began with an unexpected moment. As I sat down to sketch ideas, a rooster began crowing outside. Whether coincidence or something more meaningful, I took it as inspiration. The bird didn't stop its cockadoodledos until I drew a rooster! The "gallo blanco" white rooster quickly became the heart of the composition, representing energy and Puerto Rican pride.

Although the competition encouraged artists to draw inspiration from Bayamón, I found myself becoming less interested in illustrating landmarks and more interested in capturing the city's rhythm. Time spent exploring the historic center, the Tren Urbano station, local restaurants, festivals, public plazas, and the work of artists like Carlito Skills and The Stencil Network shaped the visual language of the piece.

Stars, maracas, paint roller textures, palm trees, flowers, and a hidden hen are woven throughout the composition, inviting viewers to discover new details with each look. Rather than functioning as a postcard of Bayamón, the proposal aims to celebrate the energy, color, and creativity that make the city unique.
